Annual vacation policy
Being on an Annual grant you are granted a fixed amount of vacation days per year. This type gives you a fixed amount of paid or unpaid days every year.
Unlimited vacation policy
Being on an unlimited vacation type you have an unlimited amount of vacation days. The amount of days are never refilled, saved or removed. Only the amount of spent vacation is logged and presented in Alexis.
Earned vacation policy
An earned vacation policy calculates the amount of paid days you are entitled to. The calculation used is:
(Number of days employed during the period*Earned days per year) / 365
If you've been employed 120 days during a year and have the right to 25 days of vacation per year this would be:
(120*25) / 365 = 9 (this number is always rounded up)
We also take employment rate into account.
Employment types that are excluded from this calculation are Interns, Consultant and Special-fixed employment. They will automatically get x unpaid days.
This policy has two possible settings, Full balance available in advanced or Full balance available the year after.
Full balance available in advanced
This means you get all your earned days the same year you earn them. With the example above it would mean that the year you worked 120 days would also be the year you get 9 paid days of vacation.
Full balance available the year after
This means you get all your earned days the coming year. Using the example above this would mean you would have 0 paid days the year you work 120 days. The coming year you would get 9 days of paid vacation.
