Why we’re building a new Analytics feature

As one of the first features developed in AlexisHR, our Insights/Analytics feature has provided invaluable data over the years. However, technology evolves and so have your needs. Based on valuable feedback from our users, we're excited to announce that we are doing a complete overhaul of our Analytics feature to serve you better.

Our vision for the Analytics feature:

Our vision is to give you instant access to critical HR data. In addition to an insightful overview for your team, imagine creating your own personalized dashboard with metrics that matter most to just you. And with improved filtering options, comparing data across groups is becoming a lot easier.

Our AI chatbot will take the functionality a step further by simplifying the retrieval of ad-hoc data. For instance, if you're viewing turnover rates for your entire commercial team and decide you need more detailed information about a specific team within that department, you will be able to ask, "What are the turnover rates for the Nordic Sales Team team?" and the chatbot will deliver the data instantly. This makes it super easy to get precise information on the fly, enabling you to look deeper into your data without any delays.

Widget-Based Dashboards

Our new Analytics page is built around widgets, offering you more flexibility in how you view and interact with your data. Our goal for future releases is to make it possible for you to customize your dashboard by choosing which widgets you want to see on the dashboard.

Additionally, we're introducing "inline filters" for each widget. Unlike "global filters" that apply to the entire page, these inline filters allow you to refine what you see within each individual widget. This means you will be able to edit the data displayed in one widget without affecting the information shown in others. Whether you need to drill down into specifics or get a broad overview, our widget-based design puts you in complete control.

Iterative Release Strategy – What’s available right now?

To ensure our new Analytics feature meets your needs and adapts to user feedback, we're implementing an iterative release strategy. This approach allows us to roll out updates in phases, continuously improving the platform based on your input and our ongoing analysis of user interactions.

We’re starting with a “default overview” showing basic yet powerful functionality, including a selection of key metrics on the top bar and two fundamental widgets for headcount and FTE percentage.

We will continually add more widgets and metrics, such as tenure, turnover rate, absence % and more. In future releases, you can also expect to try out the functionality allowing you to create your own personal dashboard and filter the widgets on your “default overview”.

Alexis AI chatbot

The AI chatbot is currently defined to answer grouped by office and month, here is the data that the chatbot can present as of today:

Headcount insights will give you the headcount grouped by Office for the last 6 months. The headcount for each month is calculated by the last day of the month.
Insights tenure. The tenure is calculated by the last day of the month.
Insights turnover. The turnover is calculated by the last day of the month.
