Parts of your profile is public to everyone in your organization to ensure you can always find someone's contact information. Of course, this only applies to information such as name, work email, work number etc.
Find a colleague
Use the search bar to the left or go to People and search by e.g. name, department, office etc.
On their profile, you will find information such as names, role in organization, department, their Manager etc.
